Best tent ever! So much easier to pack on horseback than traditional canvas tents.

Great tent! Very spacious! Our two sons and 3 of their friends took it out shed hunting in March. Had a great time and enjoyed it very much. Plenty of room for the 5 of them, their stuff and the stove. No complaints at all from them. They can’t wait to go out again over Memorial Day weekend with it. So happy we finally took a leap and made the purchase.

I had been looking for a well made, affordable wall tent for quite awhile, and the guys at Elk Mountain Tents made it an easy choice. My tent showed up in a week and it couldn’t have been easier to set up. This tent served four of us very comfortably on Montana elk hunt this past fall. I would definitely recommend a tent from Elk Mountain to anybody that is looking for a well made and affordable wall tent.

This wall tent has all the features of many other tents add ons that would run you 3000+ dollars. It was durable enough to handle 50 mph winds in -20 degree weather. We stayed the week in it with 6 people with a large stove and stayed warm all night. I would recommend any of their products. Very affordable and durable. Try to get the frame that they recommend cause it comes with wire supports that help the tent stay rigged. A must buy trust me, you will not regret it.

bought the 13×13 with screen a few years ago.
It’s been great. It’s a reasonably priced wall tent.
Cut my own poles, so saved some cash that way.
All in all a great tent!

Exceptional construction, design and customer service. Elk Mountain Tents are the perfect compromise between thin poly outfitter style tents (ie. Cabelas Alaknak etc.) and full blown cotton duck canvas tents. I’ve owned ALL and the poly duck canvas is the best of both worlds. It’s just as warm and retains heat like cotton duck canvas but it doesn’t have the absorption issues that lead to mold and staining usually associated with old cotton duck. If you do have any dirt or mud that gets on the material it’s very easy to clean and dry it, keeping it’s new like appearance. The additional features of Elk Mountain Tents are the ventilation design and the screened / “paned” windows. The window “pane” look of the windows give it more of a cabin/homelike feel AND these tents make excellent event tents for outdoor dining / weddings/ functions. For the money, dollar for dollar you cannot find a better tent. We originally thought about purchasing the 13×16 Elk Mountain tent but decided on a 13×13 tent. The perfect size for our family of 5. With the Disco Bed bunk bed system and large size cots you can sleep 5 comfortably. Go buy an Elk Mountain tent, get outdoors and create some priceless memories with your family!

Great tent! It holds up in harsh weather. It has plenty of room. We had (4) guys with gear in mine this fall. Most important they stand behind their product. I had a slight issue and the team at Ek Mountain Tents quickly remedied the problem.

Great quality tent! Holds up well in 40 mph winds, from my experience.

Bought this tent in summer of 2020, used it hard since then and I have ZERO complaints or issues. It’s been on 4 Colorado hunting trips with everything from deep heavy snow to a blizzard with 45mph winds for a day and a half. No leaks and not even a loose seam after the blizzard. The included stakes are beasts and held the tent to the ground during the blizzard. With a good wood stove we were in our t-shirts inside with 4 degrees outside.
I used a Davis tent for several years before this and the 2 things I didn’t like was the heavy weight to carry and setup, and the fact that all canvas tents shrink and the sidewalls don’t reach the ground after a while. The material and fabrication of this tent solves those problems. The overhead wire support system really holds the structure together during any weather, plus makes a nice clothsline to dry things.
The tent is very well made and designed with features that just make it perfect to use. The windows and screened front door are nice in warm weather for ventilation and the door in the back, well it’s always good to have a back door to get out when needed! It’s easy to setup/takedown and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I can lift and carry my 13×13 in the bag by myself and the separate floor folds up to a small package as well.
Customer service is also great as others have said. Prompt replies and happy to help with any special requests.

Elk Mountain makes great tents! I got the 13×16 package and LOVE IT! If you’re looking for a tent then don’t worry about losing quality the Poly canvas is great for strength, weight, and water resistance. The windows and ridge openings provide plenty of airflow. Elk Mountain tents come with an uncut stove jack so you can fit it to whatever stove you have or leave it closed. The tents also come with a wire support system for the frame which doubles as a place to hang your clothes and lanterns. I’m quite impressed with Elk Mountain Tents’ website. It is easy to navigate and offers lots of information for anyone looking for a new wall tent. Customer Service answered my questions quickly. My family has used wall tents since I was a kid and I still learned new things on their website. All around I don’t think you’ll find another tent with this many add-ons at this price while keeping a great quality.

I purchased the 13×21 with the additional rain fly and screen door. The steaks are very heavy duty. You will need to purchase extra rope for the fly as it does not come with any. I purchased the EMT conduit elsewhere and installed the spring clips myself. This took some time but we’ll worth the expense and time. The clips really hold the frame together while raising it. The only problem I had with the included angles were weld bubbles on the inside of the pipe limiting full insertion of the EMT. I ended up grinding the weld bubbles on only a few angles for everything to fit. I was able to pick up this tent and all the extras at Elk Mountain tents because I am a local. They were very friendly and gave me two of the 13×13 heavy duty rubber floors for the price of the 13×21 because they were out of stock. As for the tent it is great, it’s heavy duty and feels very similar to 100% canvas. My family has used it several times with any issues. It stays clean and when I put it up for the winter I hung it in my barn and hosed it off making it look new again. It drys really fast and packed up in the supplied storage bag along with all the extras I purchased excluding the poles. As for assembly I can put it up by myself in about 30 minutes and with help it’s probably about half that time. I was in one snowstorm with this tent and no leaks were detected. Definitely the best bang for your hard earned dollar.

I’ve had my tent for a couple of seasons now and it’s a game changer. Especially as my hunting buddy and I get older, a little bit of comfort goes a long way toward having great hunting days. Moving from regular tents to my Elk Mountain has meant better beds, better mattresses and far better sleep. Not to mention, just the heat from a lantern is plenty to make rolling out of bed in the morning a lot more enjoyable. (Now, if they only made a boot warmer…)
It’s held up extremely well and survived some moderate weather.
The only thing I’d change, is I’d have ordered the version with the awning in hindsight.
Excellent product, great folks to talk to. (I decided to go with Elk Mountain after a very helpful and extended call with their office.)

We bought a 13′ X 16′ tent with Fly and front screen door. We also bought the frame. We set it up last Saturday. It took us about 2 hours to set up. We had a minor delay, at first we put the canvas on wrong side out. It was a fairly easy set up. Although not required for set up we used a 2′ step to make it easier to pull the canvas up over the frame. We installed the floor frame to help square the tent. When we we finished we removed the floor frame at the door so we could get a wheel chair in and out easily. The stakes were huge. I’ve never seen tent stakes that big. The tent is huge. There is plenty of room for a hospital bed and a queen bed . (Yes, real beds for camping is called glamping. Also have a 4 person table a Big Buddy heater. A TV and a hoist to get a handicap person in and out of bed. There is still room for gear. We were going to buy a Montana tent until I found Elk Mountain in a Google search. This tent was over $1000 less money than the Montana tent. We didn’t need support but I’m sure their support is excellent.

Have spent over 50 nights in this tent over the past five years. Been in heavy rain without a drop coming in and a couple of blizzards. Tent is bomb-proof in high winds due to the frame, tensioning cables and stake outs. Set up takes my wife and I about and hour. Could be done a little faster if needed.
We use it for week-long hunting trips. Divided it into four quarters: bed, kitchen, dining table, and gear-storage/clothes hanging. Much roomier/wider than a trailer. We heat with a Mr. Heater Big Buddy for connivence and saving room. Get the floor option. It is a tough and quiet heavy-duty rubberized fabric which has stood up to being set over rough volcanic rocks. For lighting hang a couple of LED light strips over the tension cables powered by portable battery. Very bright over whole tent.
Pros:
* Lets a lot of light in so it doesn’t feel dark and cramped
* Roomy for two
* Acts as a green house in cooler weather so it heats up fast
* Durable and weatherproof
Cons:
* Bulky and heavy. No way to avoid this give tent size
* Set up and take down no fun during rain/snow
Overall this makes longer hunting trips where you’re up before sunrise and out all day more pleasant because you come back to a mini house every evening instead of a cramped tent or trailer.
